My stack 2022

Notes for the next year:

• Typescript - I really see no point why it should not be a default option for any Javascript created in 2023
• OpenAPI and code generation saved so much time
• NestJS is extremely satisfying
• Tailwindcss - one love forever
• SolidJS is a good thing
• DigitalOcean and their new pod-like deployments
• Herzner and Scaleway are surprisingly not-so-bad. Already planning new projects on them instead of big bros.
• SQLite changes are so neat
• k8s and secops - as k8s grows it provides more and more ways to shoot not only your legs but also ricochet into your head
• monorepos and growing complexity of ci/cd pipelines.. and the lack of monorepos
• WordPress, it’s still a thing in 2022, unfortunately. Hope it’ll move on Nextjs/Strapi like setups.
• GraphQL is pretty nice when you write client code. GraphQL is a squirrel shit when you write backend
